The Pacquiao Marquez fight will indeed proceed as planned. According to Manny Pacquiao, the match is already set. the The fight will take place on November 12, 2011. It will be fought at a 144-pound catchweight. Marquez has already signed the contract and is expected to get $5 million from the fight, aside from his share from pay-per-view earnings.
While Marquez is not the opponent that many boxing fans are hoping for (Mayweather should stop making excuses), he is an excellent fighter who would surely provide Manny a tough challenge. Their two previous fights ended in draw and a split decision in favor of Pacquiao.
